We are thrilled to welcome Sager to the Satpathy Laboratory. Sager earned his PhD in 2022 from Harvard University, working in Pardis Sabeti’s lab at the Broad Institute. His doctoral research focused on developing machine learning approaches for designing synthetic DNA regulatory elements, analyzing CRISPR screen data, and identifying signatures of adaptive evolution in human populations. Prior to his PhD, he worked with Gary Silverman at the University of Pittsburgh, where he used model organisms to advance drug discovery efforts, and with Brian Gregory at the University of Pennsylvania, studying RNA-protein interactions in plant development. Currently, as a postdoc in the Satpathy lab, Sager is developing novel artificial intelligence tools to accelerate therapeutic discovery and development.
